The Tuareg Testa di Moro Lamp with Crown from Caltagirone, Woman brings the Caltagirone Testa di Moro (Sicilian Moor's Head) in its female Tuareg version: a light, glossy face, with made-up blue eyes, red lips and a string of red beads on the forehead, wrapped in a turban and a veil in an antique mother of pearl finish. A twisted gold cord runs around the turban and the smooth crown above carries a large red stone set in gold and other red appliqués. The head is modelled and decorated by hand by Ceramiche Sofia.
